About Numerology
A short, honest introduction.
What numerology is
Numerology is a traditional belief system that links numbers with character and experience. Practitioners turn names and birth dates into single digits and read meanings from them. Several systems exist (Chaldean, Pythagorean and others) and they do not always agree.
What numerology is not
It is not a science. There is no scientific evidence that numerology predicts events or changes luck, health, money or relationships. This site treats it as a reflective tradition, and nothing here is advice or a guarantee.
The systems we use
- Chaldean name numbers use letter values 1 to 8 (9 is not assigned) and add them into a compound number, then a single digit.
- Birth number is your day of birth reduced to a single digit.
- Life Path reduces day, month and year separately and adds them, keeping master numbers 11, 22 and 33.
- Lo Shu Grid is a 3×3 magic square (4 9 2 / 3 5 7 / 8 1 6). Digits of your birth date are placed in it to show which numbers are present, missing or repeated.
Using it well
Treat the results as questions to think about, not answers. Every calculator on this site shows its steps, so you can check them yourself.
